Our Process
Step One: Evaluation
First, we start by evaluating the condition of the air ducts. This includes examining heating and air conditioning equipment, taking airflow readings at each vent and looking inside some vents. By taking readings and doing a visual inspection, we will be able to determine what it will take to get things cleaned properly. Once all information has been gathered, we'll present multiple cleaning options and answer any questions. At this time, we will be able to show you long-term options to help improve indoor air quality such as an improved air filter system or a whole-house air purifier. After deciding which option is best for you, a date will be scheduled to start the project.
Step Two: Start the Project
On the day of the project, you will receive either a text message or a phone call to let you know our technicians are on the way. Once they have arrived, they start by planning the cleaning which includes a walkthrough of the home to see all vents. After planning, drop cloths are laid down to protect floors and keep our work area clean.
Step Three: Cleaning!
To keep dust to a minimum, we use a powerful vacuum that places your air duct system into a negative pressure. This vacuum hooks up to your air ducts with a large hose. Once the vacuum is turned on, we run an air compressor line with agitators through all ducts. This helps loosen debris and push it towards the vacuum hose. Sometimes it is necessary that we clean out portions of the air ducts or HVAC equipment using compressed air agitators and brushes. After working the agitators through all portions of the air duct system, your ducts are clean!
Wrap Up
Once the cleaning is finished, we will install any air quality improving products you may have decided to have added on. A walkthrough of all work areas will then be performed to ensure we leave things cleaner than when we arrived.
